PTUC would like to recommend this exhibition focusing on a major aspect of our industrial culture ie the brickworks.
We have rescued the old PTUC banner from storage and it is now being displayed as part of this exhibition. The banner prominently features the chimneys of one of the brick kilns.
Go along and enjoy the exhibition. Try to find your old union or branch on the banner. Spot the industries represented in the image. Do you remember this banner? Tell us your stories.
(The exhibition is at Chauffeur’s Cottage, behind the Town Hall, until 9 Feb 2017.)
PTUC are thrilled to hear the news that the Green Back Yard has been saved. They have now secured a rolling 12 year lease arrangement with Peterborough City Council.
More news here;
On March 18th, PTUC will be joining the Stand Up To Racism demonstration for UN Anti-Racism Day. Hopefully it will be the biggest yet and show that Theresa May does not speak for us when she blames migrants and refugees for the problems cause by austerity and the financial crisis, and that we are united against racism, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism.
In the light of the Home Secretary’s shocking decision in October 2016 not to grant an inquiry into “The Battle of Orgreave” the OTJC are planning our biggest and noisiest Demonstration to Date. Get along if you can!
The demonstration is taking place outside the Home Office Building in Marsham St, London.Read More

We do of course still fully support this critical cause and will be supporting this in every other way that we can.
